The Pitco Gas Valve 3/4" is a direct replacement combination gas valve for Pitco commercial gas fryers with 3/4-inch gas connections. This combination valve integrates the pressure regulator, safety solenoid, main solenoid, and manual shutoff into a single assembly, controlling all aspects of gas flow to the main burner from one service part. Using the correct gas valve ensures factory-matched operating pressures, flow rates, and safety functions for the specific Pitco fryer model.
Over time, combination gas valves can develop diaphragm failures in the regulator section, solenoid coil burnouts, pilot safety seat contamination, or operator mechanism wear, causing the fryer to fail to light, run at incorrect temperatures, or present a gas safety hazard. Because the valve integrates multiple functions, a failure in any single section typically requires replacement of the entire valve assembly. Replacing the gas valve with the 3/4-inch unit restores all gas control functions simultaneously.
Replacement must be performed by a qualified gas service technician who disconnects the gas supply, removes all gas connections and the wiring harness, and reinstalls the new valve with properly sealed connections. A full gas leak test at all fittings and a combustion performance check must be performed before returning the fryer to service.
