Details
The Gaylord Set Screw, 10-Pack (Part# 10236) is a genuine replacement fastener kit used throughout Gaylord ventilator control cabinets and damper actuator assemblies. These set screws secure components such as actuator arms, control knobs, and linkage collars onto their mating shafts, holding critical adjustment points in place during normal operation.
Set screws see constant vibration from fan motors and repeated thermal cycling as the ventilator moves between wash and run modes, both of which can gradually work a screw loose. A loosened or missing set screw allows the component it holds -- often a damper linkage or actuator arm -- to slip out of adjustment or spin freely on its shaft, which can throw off damper timing or actuator alignment and lead to inconsistent airflow control.
Replacement is a quick fix a maintenance technician can perform during routine service. With the ventilator powered down, locate the loose or missing set screw, realign the component to its correct position on the shaft, and thread in a new set screw from this pack, tightening to snug plus a quarter turn -- enough to bite into the shaft without stripping the threads. Confirm the component holds its position and does not shift under light pressure before restoring power.
