The Gaylord Inlet Adapter with O Ring (Part# 10260) is a genuine OEM replacement gasket for Gaylord commercial kitchen ventilation hoods and fire suppression control systems. Installed between mating components on Gaylord commercial kitchen ventilation hoods and fire suppression control systems, this gasket prevents leakage of heat, moisture, or pressure past the joint it seals.

Constant compression cycling combined with heat and moisture exposure breaks down the gasket material over time, leading to hardening, cracking, or a loss of compression that allows heat, steam, or pressure to escape past the seal.

A technician should power down and cool the equipment, then open the sealed joint and remove all remnants of the old gasket, cleaning the mating surfaces thoroughly. Seat the new gasket evenly in its groove or mounting points, reassemble, and verify a tight seal with no gaps before closing out the repair.
