Details
This is a replacement table adjustment knob for Globe manual and automatic deli slicers, made by Alfa International (Alfa part G-074) to replace Globe part 510020 and the older 407-1B. It is the large black thickness knob on the side of the slicer: turning it moves the gauge plate (table) in and out from the blade to set the slice thickness, and the 0–19 dial shows the setting. The knob is about 2-7/8 inches across and comes as one complete piece. It weighs about 0.3 lb.
The knob is handled every time the operator changes thickness, and daily cleaning with hot water and sanitizer wears it as well. Over time the dial numbers wear off, the plastic cracks, or the knob loosens and slips on the shaft, so the setting no longer matches the dial and slices come out uneven. A cracked knob is also hard to keep clean. Replacing it restores accurate, repeatable thickness settings and a firm grip.
Unplug the slicer and turn the knob to close the gauge plate before starting. Loosen the set screw and remove the old knob from the table adjusting shaft, slide the new knob on, line up the zero mark with the closed position and tighten the set screw. Check that the gauge plate closes fully at zero and opens smoothly through the full range before slicing. Wipe the knob with warm soapy water, rinse and dry; do not soak it or put it through a dishwasher. This table adjustment knob fits Globe 725LR, 875LR, 2875V, 3600P, 3850P, 3975P and 4975P. Confirm your model before ordering.
