PRODUCT OVERVIEW
Heavy Duty Thermocoup for Blodgett Part# 3835

Details
The Heavy Duty Thermocouple for Blodgett Part# 3835 is a compatible aftermarket replacement thermocouple for use in Blodgett commercial convection ovens, deck ovens, and combination cooking equipment. The thermocouple is a critical safety and control component that monitors burner temperature, providing the electrical signal that allows the gas valve and ignition system to verify that a flame is present before allowing continued gas flow.
Thermocouples work by generating a small millivolt signal from the heat of the pilot or main burner flame. This signal holds the safety gas valve open. When the thermocouple weakens or fails, the gas valve cannot receive the necessary signal to remain open, causing the burner to shut off or preventing the oven from lighting and holding a flame.
Symptoms of a failing thermocouple include the pilot flame going out shortly after releasing the pilot knob, the oven failing to stay lit, or gas burners that cycle off unexpectedly. These are the most common service calls on Blodgett gas equipment and thermocouple replacement is typically a straightforward repair.
Replacement is performed by a qualified gas appliance technician. Shut off the gas supply and allow all components to cool. Remove the thermocouple from the pilot assembly bracket and disconnect the lead from the gas valve. Install the new thermocouple, ensure the tip is properly positioned in the pilot flame, and reconnect the lead. Restore gas supply and test for proper pilot operation and flame detection.
This compatible aftermarket replacement thermocouple is matched to the specifications of Blodgett gas equipment, ensuring reliable flame sensing and proper gas valve response for safe, continuous operation.
