PRODUCT OVERVIEW
Hi Limit for Cleveland Part# 108995

Details
The Hi Limit (Part# 108995) is a Cleveland-compatible replacement high limit control for use in Cleveland commercial cooking and steamer equipment. High limit controls are temperature safety devices that monitor equipment temperature and cut power to the heating system if an unsafe overtemperature condition is detected, protecting the equipment and surrounding kitchen environment from damage or fire.
High limit controls can trip due to actual overtemperature conditions caused by a failed operating thermostat, blocked airflow, or a heating system malfunction. They can also fail in the open position due to thermal fatigue, causing the equipment to remain locked out even after temperature returns to normal, or in the closed position, failing to protect the equipment during a genuine overtemperature event. Technicians must first identify and correct the root cause of any overtemperature condition before replacing or resetting the control.
High limit replacement should be performed by a qualified service technician after the underlying cause of any overtemperature condition has been identified and corrected. With the unit de-energized, locate the high limit control, disconnect the wiring, and remove it from the equipment chassis. Install the new Hi Limit, reconnect all wiring per the wiring diagram, and monitor the equipment temperature during a complete heating cycle to confirm that the operating thermostat is maintaining the correct temperature before returning the unit to service.
