Details

This outer clutch disk is a replacement for Hobart part number 00-064432 on Hobart M802 80 quart and V1401 140 quart mixers, including the C and U versions. It sits in the transmission clutch pack alongside the inner disc plates; when the clutch is engaged the discs are pressed together to carry power from the motor to the gear train, and when released they separate so the mixer can change speed. It is made in the USA by Alfa International as a direct replacement for the original, which Hobart has discontinued.

Like the inner discs, the outer disks wear with every engagement. Worn or glazed disks slip under load, causing the agitator to slow down in heavy batches, rough or noisy shifting, and extra heat inside the transmission. Replacing worn disks restores positive drive and reduces stress on the gears and bearings.

Because this part sits inside the transmission, we recommend having a qualified service technician install it. Disconnect power, open the transmission, remove the clutch pack, and replace the outer and inner discs together if they show wear.
