This bowl truck is a replacement for Hobart part number 00-315013, the dolly used with Hobart floor mixers such as the H600, L800, M802, P660 and V1401. It holds a mixer bowl on four casters so a full bowl of dough or batter can be rolled into place under the mixer, moved to the bench and taken to the dish area without lifting it. It is made of heavy cast aluminum with heavy-duty polypropylene casters and galvanized hardware, measures about 18 x 18 x 8 inches and weighs about 19 lb. It is sized for Hobart Classic and Legacy bowls from 20 to 140 quarts and is rated for 840 lb.
A bowl truck takes a lot of abuse from heavy loads, floor drains, door thresholds and wash-down. Casters wear flat, bind or crack, and a bent or cracked frame lets the bowl sit unevenly or tip. A worn truck makes it hard to move a loaded bowl and puts staff at risk of strains and spills, so replacing it keeps heavy bowls moving safely.
To use, set the empty bowl on the truck so it sits flat and centered, then roll it into position and load or lift it onto the mixer following the mixer's instructions. Keep the casters free of dough and debris, wash the frame with mild detergent and dry it, and check the casters and hardware regularly. Replacement casters are available separately if they wear out.
