Details
This 140 quart stainless steel bowl is an aftermarket replacement for Hobart part number 00-875845 on Hobart Legacy HL1400 planetary mixers. It holds the batch while the beater, whip or dough hook works it, so it handles everything from bread and pizza dough to batters, mashed potatoes and icings. It is made of stainless steel and sized to match the Legacy 140 quart bowl.
Mixer bowls take a beating in a busy kitchen. Dropping or banging a bowl can dent the sides or bend the rim and mounting points, and a bowl that no longer sits square can let the agitator scrape the wall, throw off the mix, or keep the bowl from locking in. Cracked welds and deep scratches also make a bowl harder to clean. Replacing a damaged bowl keeps the agitator clearance right, protects the agitators and gives you a sanitary surface again.
To install, lower the bowl lift, make sure the agitator is removed or clear, set the bowl onto the bowl support so it seats at the bowl connection, lock it in place and raise the bowl. Check that the agitator turns freely without touching the bowl before running a batch. Wash the bowl with warm water and mild detergent, rinse and dry it, and avoid steel wool or chlorine cleaners that can mark stainless steel. On the HL1400, a 140 quart bowl is the standard bowl for the machine. This bowl fits Hobart HL1400. Confirm your model before ordering.
