Details
This 10 quart beater paddle is a replacement flat beater for Hobart C100 and C100T mixers. It’s a “B” style beater made of cast aluminum, the all-purpose agitator for most everyday mixing. It handles medium-weight mixtures like cake and muffin batters, cookie dough, frostings, mashed potatoes, fillings and ground meat blends. The paddle is sized for the 10 quart bowl and fits the mixer’s agitator shaft.
Flat beaters wear with daily use. Edges get nicked from bumping the bowl, and the hub that locks onto the shaft can wear and loosen, letting the beater wobble or slip. A worn or damaged beater leaves unmixed ingredients at the bottom and sides of the bowl, mixes inconsistently, and can scrape the bowl. Replacing a worn beater keeps batches consistent and the mixer running smoothly.
To install, lower the bowl, slide the beater onto the agitator shaft and turn it to lock it in place, then raise the bowl. Start on low speed and increase as needed. Use the dough hook for stiff bread and pizza doughs and the wire whip for whipping. Wash the beater by hand with mild detergent and dry it promptly, since aluminum can discolor in a dishwasher or with harsh chemicals. Confirm your mixer model before ordering.
