This 30 quart mixer bowl is a replacement for Hobart part number 437410 on Hobart D300-series planetary floor mixers. It is the main mixing bowl the beater, whip and dough hook work in, holding dough, batter, icing and fillings while the mixer runs. It is a one-piece, NSF-listed bowl made of heavy-gauge 304 stainless steel with a satin finish that helps hide scratches.
Mixer bowls take a beating in daily use. Dents from being dropped or knocked against a bench, worn or bent mounting ears, and deep scratches all add up, and a bowl that no longer sits square on the bowl support can rub the agitator, mix unevenly or rock when the mixer is under load. Replacing a damaged bowl protects the agitators and the mixer, and gives you a clean, smooth surface that is easy to sanitize.
To install, lower the bowl support, set the bowl onto the support so the mounting pins and ears line up, lock the bowl clamps, and raise the bowl into mixing position before attaching the agitator. Wash the bowl after each use with warm water and a mild detergent, rinse and dry it, and avoid steel wool or chlorine-based cleaners that can mark stainless steel.
