This 140 quart mixer bowl is a replacement for Hobart part numbers 00-295651 and 00-917142 on Hobart V1401 floor mixers. It holds the batch while the agitator works it, for high-volume bread dough, batters, mashed potatoes, fillings and other large-batch mixing. It is made of heavy gauge 304 stainless steel in one piece, with a full support band, a thick bottom ring and a satin finish, and it is NSF-listed.
A mixer bowl takes a beating from heavy doughs, bowl trucks and daily handling. Dents and out-of-round spots let the agitator scrape or strike the bowl, worn or bent ears and alignment holes keep the bowl from seating and clamping firmly, and deep scratches are hard to clean and can hold product. Replacing a damaged bowl protects the agitator and mixer, keeps the bowl locked tight under load, and gives you a smooth, sanitary surface, and a second bowl lets you prep the next batch while one is running.
To install, fully lower the bowl support, set the bowl on it so the alignment bracket on the back sits under the retainer and the front alignment pins go into the holes in the bowl, then rotate both bowl clamps over the bowl ears to lock it. Install the agitator after the bowl, and unlock both clamps before lowering the bowl onto a bowl truck. Wash with warm water and mild detergent, rinse and dry, and avoid steel wool or chlorine cleaners that can mark the finish. This mixer bowl fits Hobart V1401 and V1401U.
