The Dormont 1650KIT48 is a complete deluxe gas connector kit for commercial kitchen equipment with 1/2" gas supply connections. The kit centers on Dormont's industry-leading Blue Hose® — a corrugated 304 stainless steel tube wrapped in tight-weave stainless steel braid and finished with an antimicrobial PVC coating that slows the growth of bacteria, mold, and mildew on the connector surface. The stainless braid construction allows this hose to be safely used with caster-mounted equipment that rolls away from the wall for cleaning and maintenance, unlike standard residential-grade connectors that are not rated for repeated movement. The total installed length of the assembly is 48", making it a good fit for most standard commercial appliance installations where the equipment sits close to the gas stub.
The SnapFast® quick disconnect included in this kit is Dormont's exclusive one-handed design — engineered to connect and disconnect with a single hand, making it practical in the cramped spaces behind commercial cooking equipment. A pull of the operating ring disconnects gas flow instantly for safe maintenance; reconnection is just a push and a click. An internal thermal shutoff provides an additional safety layer by automatically closing gas flow if the fitting temperature reaches 350°F.
