The Hoshizaki Ultrasonic Bin Sensor (Part# 4A6148G01) is a genuine OEM replacement temperature sensing component for Hoshizaki ice machines and refrigeration equipment. This component monitors temperature at a specific point in the system and reports it to the control board or thermostat circuit, allowing Hoshizaki ice machines and refrigeration equipment to maintain accurate, consistent temperatures during operation.
Constant thermal cycling and, depending on placement, exposure to moisture or cleaning chemicals wear down the sensing element over time, leading to inaccurate readings, nuisance error codes, or a control system that can no longer regulate temperature properly.
A technician should power down the equipment, disconnect the sensor's leads, and withdraw it from its mounting bracket or probe well. Install the new sensor in the identical position, reconnect wiring, and confirm the control system reads and regulates temperature correctly before closing out the repair.
