The Pitco Ignition Cable is a direct replacement spark cable for Pitco commercial gas fryers. It carries the high-voltage ignition pulse from the electronic ignition module to the burner spark electrode. Using the correct ignition cable ensures the correct insulation class, boot style, and terminal connections to handle the high-voltage environment without leakage.
Over time, ignition cables degrade from high-voltage stress, radiant heat from the burner, and exposure to cooking grease, causing insulation breakdown, carbon tracking, or cracked boots that allow the spark to arc to ground before reaching the electrode. These failures result in weak sparks, failed ignition sequences, nuisance lockouts, and increased wear on the ignition module. Replacing the ignition cable with a compatible part restores the full spark energy path and ensures consistent burner lighting.
The cable snaps onto the ignition module and electrode terminals and can typically be replaced without special tools.
