The Ignition Control For Blodgett Part# 20348 is a compatible aftermarket replacement ignition control module for use in Blodgett commercial convection ovens, deck ovens, and combination cooking equipment. The ignition control is the electronic module that manages the automatic lighting sequence for Blodgett gas ovens, controlling the spark igniter or glow bar, monitoring for flame presence through the sensing circuit, and coordinating gas valve operation to safely light and sustain the burner.
Modern Blodgett gas oven ignition controls execute a timed trial-for-ignition sequence: the control opens the gas valve, activates the igniter, monitors the flame sensor, and confirms burner ignition within a programmed time window. If ignition is not confirmed within the trial period, the control shuts down the gas valve and locks out the ignition circuit as a safety measure.
