The Pitco Ignition Wire is a direct replacement high-voltage wire for Pitco commercial gas fryers. It transmits the high-voltage spark from the ignition module to the spark electrode to ignite the pilot or main burner. Using the correct ignition wire ensures proper insulation rating, length, and terminal connections for reliable, consistent spark delivery.
Over time, ignition wires can develop cracked or carbon-tracked insulation from repeated high-voltage discharge, heat exposure, and the corrosive environment of a commercial kitchen, leading to spark leakage that results in hard starting, intermittent ignition, or complete ignition failure. A damaged ignition wire may cause the fryer to fail its ignition sequence, triggering lockout and requiring manual reset. Replacing the ignition wire with a compatible part restores a clean, fully insulated spark path from the module to the electrode.
