PRODUCT OVERVIEW
Ignitor/Flame Sensor for Pitco Part# PTPP11131

Details
The Pitco Ignitor/Flame Sensor is a direct replacement combination ignition electrode and flame-sensing rod for Pitco commercial gas fryers. In a single component, it provides both the spark electrode function for igniting the burner and the flame rectification sensor function for confirming that combustion is sustained. Using the correct part ensures the proper electrode geometry, insulator material, and lead wire configuration for the Pitco burner assembly.
Over time, the electrode tip erodes from repeated spark discharge, the ceramic insulator cracks from thermal shock and vibration, and the sensor rod surface oxidizes, reducing its ability to pass a flame rectification signal back to the ignition module. These combined degradations cause ignition misfires, false flame-out signals, and safety lockouts. Replacing the ignitor/flame sensor with a compatible combination part restores both the spark ignition and flame confirmation functions in a single service step.
The component mounts in the burner assembly with a bracket and screw, and the lead wires connect to the ignition module and ground. It is recommended to inspect the electrode gap and set it to the manufacturer's specification after installation. Pairing replacement with a check of the ignition module's spark voltage output and the flame sensing circuit's microamp reading will confirm that the complete ignition system is performing to specification.
