PRODUCT OVERVIEW
Ignitor for Cleveland Part# KE53437

Details
The Ignitor (Part# KE53437) is a Cleveland-compatible replacement ignitor for use in Cleveland commercial gas-fired cooking and steamer equipment. The ignitor generates the spark or glow required to initiate combustion at the pilot or main burner during each start cycle. Consistent, reliable ignition is essential for safe and efficient gas equipment operation.
Ignitors are consumable components that degrade with use and are highly susceptible to contamination from grease, carbon deposits, moisture, and mineral residue in the kitchen environment. A worn or contaminated ignitor may produce a weak or inconsistent spark, require multiple ignition attempts before the burner lights, or fail to produce a spark at all. Regular inspection and scheduled replacement of the ignitor is a key element of gas equipment preventive maintenance.
Ignitor replacement requires the gas supply to be shut off and the unit de-energized before beginning work. A qualified gas appliance technician should locate the ignitor assembly near the burner, remove the retaining hardware, and disconnect the ignition lead. Install the new Ignitor, set the electrode gap to the specification in the Cleveland service manual if adjustable, reconnect the ignition lead, and restore gas and power. Test ignition through multiple lighting cycles to confirm consistent spark and reliable burner ignition.
