The dual float switch (part number 6680-003-62-65) is an OEM replacement sensor component designed for Jackson undercounter dishwashers, door-type dishwashers, glass washers, and pot & pan washers. This float-actuated switch assembly monitors water level conditions, controlling pump operation or water fill cycles by activating or deactivating circuits based on float position. The dual float configuration allows detection of both minimum and maximum water level conditions for precise cycle control.
Dual float switches fail due to float degradation losing buoyancy, mechanical wear of pivot points causing sticking, corrosion of electrical contacts from mineral-rich water, or debris accumulation preventing float movement. Failure symptoms include incorrect water levels, continuous pump operation, failure to fill, or inability to drain. A failed float switch can cause flooding by allowing uncontrolled water fill, loss of wash function due to inability to maintain proper water level, or waste from uncontrolled drainage.
Installation requires mounting the switch assembly at the correct angle and height to allow both floats full range of motion.
