Heat and pressure cycling gradually break down the material of flexible lines like this, leading to cracking, leaks, or a soft spot that can eventually burst under normal operating pressure.
Replacement should be performed by a qualified technician. Shut off and relieve pressure in the line before disconnecting the fittings at each end of the old hose or tube. Remove the failed section, install the new one in the same routing and orientation, and secure the fittings per the original configuration.
