Details

The Jackson 5700-002-29-36 A-Tank, Rinse, 208-240V, 70F Rise is an OEM replacement rinse water heating tank assembly designed for Jackson warewashing equipment requiring rapid rinse temperature elevation. This stainless steel tank with integral 208-240 volt electric heating element is specifically sized to deliver a 70-degree Fahrenheit temperature rise above incoming water temperature, ensuring rinse water reaches sanitation temperatures of 180-190 degrees Fahrenheit as required by health codes.

Rinse tanks can fail through electric heating element burn-out from mineral scale accumulation insulating the element from water contact, tank corrosion and pitting reducing structural integrity, thermostat malfunction causing improper temperature control, or internal scale buildup reducing heating efficiency and restricting water flow. Failure symptoms include rinse water temperature that remains lukewarm or cold even after extended heating time, visible corrosion staining inside the tank, low water pressure in the rinse system, or complete inability to achieve target temperature. Inadequate rinse temperature prevents effective bacterial kill and chemical removal, making it impossible to achieve required sanitization standards.

The 5700-002-29-36 replacement rinse tank requires isolating electrical power and water supply lines before removal of the old tank. Installation typically involves connecting the incoming cold water supply to the tank inlet, the heated water outlet to the rinse system, and verifying secure electrical connections to the heating element. Professional technicians should perform electrical work to ensure proper grounding and overcurrent protection. After installation, allow the tank to reach temperature setpoint, verify water temperature at the rinse arm with a thermometer, and confirm the heating element cycles appropriately to maintain the target 70-degree temperature rise above incoming water.
