This is an OEM replacement Seal Plate (part# 5700-002-81-87) designed for Jackson JSP series undercounter dishwashers (models JSP1, JSP2, JSP3, JSP4), part of Jackson's commercial warewashing equipment line. The seal plate creates a critical interface between the pump assembly and the water distribution system, providing precision alignment and sealing surfaces for proper water flow control during wash cycles.
Seal plates degrade due to mechanical wear from pump cycling, corrosion from mineral-laden water, and deterioration of sealing surfaces from detergent exposure. Symptoms of seal plate failure include water leaking from beneath the distribution system, uneven spray patterns with some nozzles weaker than others, water bypassing the spray system entirely, and reduced overall cleaning effectiveness.
