The JL Industries Cosmic Series 2.5 lb ABC fire extinguisher, manufactured by Activar Construction Products Group, is a multipurpose dry chemical unit designed to combat Class A (ordinary combustibles such as wood, paper, and cloth), Class B (flammable liquids), and Class C (energized electrical equipment) fires. Loaded with monoammonium phosphate dry chemical, it is well suited for light commercial environments including offices, classrooms, retail spaces, and light industrial facilities where a compact, versatile extinguisher is required.

The Cosmic Series is built on a heavy-duty steel cylinder with an integrated siphon tube, finished in a corrosion and impact-resistant powder coat that stands up to demanding installation environments. The aluminum valve assembly is lightweight and corrosion resistant, featuring a replaceable molded valve stem seal, visual pressure gauge for at-a-glance status checks, and a pull pin with upright squeeze grip operation. This unit carries a UL 1-A:10-B:C rating and conforms to CAN/ULC-S504 (ANSI/UL 299) and CAN/ULC-S508 (ANSI/UL 711) standards. The operating temperature range spans -65°F to 120°F.
