The JL Industries Saturn Series 2.5 Gallon Wet Chemical Fire Extinguisher is a larger-capacity Class K unit engineered for commercial kitchens where high-volume cooking creates elevated cooking oil and grease fire risks. Charged with a low-pH potassium acetate and potassium citrate solution, it saponifies burning fats and oils to extinguish flames rapidly. Rated 2-A:K, it also provides Class A coverage on ordinary combustibles present in kitchen environments.

The 2.5-gallon capacity makes this the larger Saturn Series offering, suited for full-service restaurants and institutional food service operations. The stainless steel cylinder resists corrosion in damp, high-temperature conditions. Agent discharges as a fine mist via the industry-standard horn and nozzle, cooling the fire and preventing cooking oil splashing. A protective nozzle tip orifice seal and non-metallic nozzle tip finger guard are standard. The unit conforms to CAN/ULC-S554/ANSI/UL 8 and CAN/ULC-S508/ANSI/UL 711 standards, with an operating temperature range of 40°F to 120°F.

Compared to the 6-liter Saturn, this 2.5-gallon model offers greater agent volume and a higher UL rating — the right choice where cooking volumes and fire risk are greater.
