The Pitco Knob - Thermostat, Fryer, F/C is a direct replacement thermostat control knob for Pitco commercial fryers, providing the operator interface used to select and display the desired frying temperature in both Fahrenheit and Celsius scales. It attaches to the thermostat shaft and allows the operator to rotate the temperature setting smoothly across the full range of the thermostat. Using the correct knob ensures a secure fit on the thermostat shaft, legible temperature scale markings, and a tactile feel consistent with the original fryer design.
Over time, thermostat knobs can crack, chip, or lose their scale markings from heat exposure, chemical cleaning agents, and the physical wear of repeated daily adjustments in a commercial kitchen. A damaged or illegible knob makes it difficult for operators to set the correct frying temperature, leading to inconsistent cooking results or potential overheat conditions if the setting cannot be accurately read.
