The Pitco Male Qd is a direct replacement male quick-disconnect fitting for Pitco commercial fryer oil filtration and drain systems. This fitting provides the male half of a quick-connect coupling that allows hoses and plumbing components in the oil filtration circuit to be connected and disconnected rapidly without tools, facilitating oil transfers, filter changes, and system maintenance. Using the correct male quick-disconnect ensures a leak-free, positive-locking connection with the corresponding female fitting.
Over time, the original male quick-disconnect can suffer wear on its locking mechanism, seal degradation from continuous hot oil exposure, or corrosion and debris buildup that prevents the coupling from engaging or releasing cleanly.
