Details

The graphical or digital display board is the operator-facing component of the Manitowoc ice machine's control interface, presenting machine operational status, current cycle mode, production data, and diagnostic fault codes. On Manitowoc Indigo, IB, and similar series machines, the display board communicates with the main control board through a data harness, receiving operational status updates and displaying them in real time. The display board also provides the interface for mode changes, cleaning cycle initiation, and diagnostic code retrieval during service.

A failed display board results in a blank or corrupted display, loss of fault code visibility, or inability to access machine status — even if the machine continues to produce ice. In some cases, display board failure generates communication errors that interfere with control board operation, causing machine shutdowns or erratic behavior.
