The Multiplex O-ring, NSF, #731112, for MCP00246 (Part# MCP00262) is a genuine OEM replacement gasket for Multiplex beverage dispensing systems. This gasket forms a seal between two mating surfaces on Multiplex beverage dispensing systems, keeping heat, steam, water, or pressure contained within the compartment or line it's installed on.
Gaskets are compressed every time the assembly they seal is closed or cycled, and repeated exposure to heat, moisture, and cleaning chemicals causes the material to harden, crack, or lose its compression set over time. Once that happens, the seal typically shows up as a visible leak, a loss of heat or pressure, or excess condensation escaping past the joint.
A technician should power down and cool the equipment, then open the sealed joint and remove all remnants of the old gasket, cleaning the mating surfaces thoroughly.
