The Pitco Orifice - Extend, #56 is a direct replacement extended-body gas orifice for Pitco commercial fryers. The extended body design positions the calibrated #56 drill-size bore at the correct depth within the gas manifold or burner assembly, ensuring the metered gas jet is aimed precisely at the burner ports for proper ignition and flame development. Using the correct extended orifice maintains the precise fuel delivery geometry required for efficient, stable combustion in the specific burner configuration it serves.
Over time, the original extended orifice can develop bore clogging from carbon deposits, corrosion of the orifice body, or thread wear that allows the fitting to back out of its mounting, all of which disrupt the calibrated gas flow and flame geometry. A faulty orifice produces weak, misdirected, or unstable burner flames, leading to slow oil heating, poor temperature recovery, and potentially dangerous combustion conditions.
