The Pitco Orifice (Lp) 5/16 X 32 #.010 is a direct replacement gas orifice for Pitco commercial fryers configured for liquid propane service. The fitting features a 5/16-inch diameter body with 32-thread-per-inch threading and a precisely drilled .010-inch bore sized to deliver the correct LP gas flow rate at rated operating pressure. Using the correct LP orifice ensures the burner receives the proper fuel volume to achieve full rated BTU output and stable combustion across the entire operating cycle.
Over time, the original LP orifice can suffer bore enlargement from corrosion, physical damage during cleaning, or the use of incorrect tooling, all of which allow excess gas to pass and create an overly rich fuel-air mixture. Conversely, carbon or scale buildup can restrict the bore, starving the burner and producing weak yellow flames, long preheat times, and temperature shortfalls. Installing this direct replacement restores the exact .010-inch calibrated passage, correcting fuel delivery and returning combustion to the manufacturer's specification.
