The Perfect Fry 2EA001‑C Heating Element is a genuine OEM replacement electric immersion heater for the Perfect Fry PFA series ventless countertop fryer. This element sits directly in the frying oil and transfers electrical energy into heat with high efficiency, providing the rapid temperature recovery that makes back‑to‑back fry cycles practical in a commercial kitchen environment. Using the OEM element ensures the watt density, sheath geometry, and electrical termination match the fryer's original thermal design so that temperature control and cycle performance are fully preserved.
Heating elements in commercial fryer applications are subject to repeated thermal shock as they heat rapidly when activated and cool when the basket is loaded with cold product. Over time, this cycling causes the element sheath to develop micro‑cracks, the internal resistance wire to shift, or the terminal seals to deteriorate, any of which can result in reduced heating output, erratic temperature readings, or a ground fault that trips the fryer's circuit protection. A failing element may not prevent the fryer from starting but will cause it to miss its target temperature or take significantly longer to recover between loads.
Element replacement requires disconnecting the fryer from the power source and draining the oil vat before the element can be safely removed and replaced with the 2EA001‑C. The replacement element uses the same mounting arrangement and electrical termination as the original, so no wiring modification is required. New elements should be submerged in oil before power is applied to the fryer to prevent dry‑fire damage to the sheath, and the oil temperature should be verified against the setpoint after installation to confirm the element is outputting correctly.
