The Perfect Fry 6HA010 Basket Ramp Spring is a genuine OEM 1/8‑inch by 4‑1/2‑inch tension spring for the basket ramp return mechanism on Perfect Fry PFA series ventless countertop fryers. This spring supplies the restoring force that brings the basket ramp back to its rest position after each fry cycle, ensuring repeatable basket travel and smooth food delivery into the receiving area. The precise dimensions of the OEM spring are matched to the ramp pivot geometry so the correct amount of tension is applied throughout the full range of ramp movement.
Like all mechanical springs in a high‑cycle application, the 6HA010 is subject to metal fatigue from thousands of load and release cycles over the fryer's service life. A fatigued spring will stretch beyond its usable range and lose the tension needed to return the ramp reliably, causing hesitation in the basket travel, inconsistent food drop‑off, or ramp positioning errors that generate mechanical noise.
