The Perfect Fry 83067 Cage Bracket is a genuine OEM structural mounting bracket used to support and position the filter cage or basket cage assembly within the filter cavity of Perfect Fry PFA and PFC series ventless countertop fryers. This bracket provides the primary structural connection between the cage assembly and the fryer cabinet, holding the cage in the precise alignment required for the filter media to seal correctly against the cavity walls and for the air filter switch to register the filter as correctly seated. Dimensional accuracy of the bracket is therefore important for both filtration performance and fryer operability.
Metal cage brackets in commercial fryer applications are generally robust, but they can become deformed from aggressive cleaning practices, over‑torqued fasteners, or physical impact from tools during service. A bent or deformed bracket allows the cage assembly to sit out of position within the filter cavity, which can prevent the filter from sealing against the cavity walls and allow unfiltered air to bypass the filter media. A mispositioned cage can also prevent the air filter switch actuator from reaching its correct travel position, generating a persistent filter fault code that cannot be resolved by filter replacement alone.
The 83067 bracket mounts in the original location within the filter cavity using the factory fastener hardware. Replacement is indicated whenever the bracket shows visible bending or deformation, when the filter cage cannot be positioned correctly despite the filter being undamaged, or when persistent filter fault codes are traced to incorrect cage alignment rather than a filter or switch fault. Cleaning the filter cavity thoroughly before installing the new bracket ensures the mounting surfaces are clean and the bracket seats flat, which is important for maintaining the correct cage position and filter sealing.
