The Perfect Fry 83281 Extra Large (XL) PFC Basket (OEM reference 6HT905) is a genuine OEM large‑capacity stainless steel frying basket designed specifically for use with the Perfect Fry PFC series ventless countertop fryer. This basket provides a larger loading area than the standard PFC basket, allowing operators to increase the product yield per fry cycle and reduce the total number of cycles required to fill an order. It is compatible with the optional XL basket cover (part 83649), which allows the basket to cook floating food products by holding them below the oil surface.
The XL basket experiences higher mechanical loads than the standard basket due to its larger product capacity, which places greater stress on the basket frame, wire mesh, and lift interface points over time. Heavy product loads, vigorous cleaning practices, and repeated immersion cycles can cause the wire mesh to deform, the frame to warp, or the lift engagement points to wear in ways that affect how the basket sits in the PFC's automatic lift mechanism. A basket that is deformed or that no longer engages the lift correctly can cause the fryer to generate lift fault codes or can lead to inconsistent cooking results if the basket doesn't sit at the correct depth in the oil.
