PRODUCT OVERVIEW
Perfect Fry 83339 Heating Element.

Details
The Perfect Fry 83339 Heating Element is a genuine OEM 7.2kW, 240V, single‑phase replacement heater assembly for Perfect Fry PFA series ventless countertop fryers. At 7,200 watts and 30 amps, this element delivers aggressive heat recovery that keeps oil temperature consistent even during high‑volume back‑to‑back fry loads. The factory‑engineered watt density and sheath geometry are calibrated to the 11‑liter PFA vat dimensions to provide even heat distribution without creating localized hot spots that accelerate oil degradation.
Prolonged use, dry‑fire events, and heavy carbonization buildup on the element sheath are the most common causes of element failure in commercial fryer applications. Carbonization acts as insulation, reducing the element's ability to transfer heat into the oil and forcing the fryer to run for longer periods to reach setpoint, which further stresses the element and shortens its remaining life. An element that has developed an internal ground fault or open circuit will prevent the fryer from reaching cooking temperature and will typically trigger a heating fault code on the control board.
Before installing the 83339 replacement element, the oil vat should be fully drained and the element termination area cleaned of any carbon or oil residue to ensure a secure electrical connection. After installation, the vat should be filled with fresh oil before power is restored to protect the new element sheath from dry‑fire damage. Verifying that the fryer reaches setpoint temperature and maintains it through a loaded fry cycle confirms that the element is performing as expected. Following a regular oil change and vat cleaning schedule helps prevent the carbonization buildup that shortens element life.
