The Perfect Fry 83423 Cooling Fan Control Kit with Pins is a genuine OEM replacement for the E‑Box cooling fan used to maintain safe operating temperatures within the electrical control cavity of Perfect Fry PFA and PFC series ventless countertop fryers. Rated at 12V, 2W, this compact axial fan runs continuously whenever the fryer is powered, circulating air across the control PCB, solid state relay, and power supply to prevent heat buildup that would shorten the service life of these components. The kit includes the pin connector hardware needed for a direct, plug‑and‑play installation with the factory E‑Box wiring.
At only 2 watts, the E‑Box cooling fan is a low‑power device, but its consistent operation is disproportionately important to the fryer's long‑term electronic reliability. Grease that accumulates on the fan blades over time gradually unbalances the impeller and adds rotational drag to the motor, causing it to slow and reducing its airflow contribution. A fan that has seized completely or that is operating at significantly reduced speed allows E‑Box temperatures to rise above the rated operating range of the PCB and SSR, accelerating electrolytic capacitor aging and increasing the probability of early electronic component failures that generate otherwise unexplained fault codes.
