Details

The Perfect Fry 83699 Female Connector Kit is a genuine OEM set of female connector housings and contact pins used in the wiring harness assemblies of Perfect Fry PFA and PFC series ventless countertop fryers. This kit enables service technicians to rebuild damaged or worn female wire harness terminations to factory specification, restoring the correct contact geometry, retention force, and electrical performance of the repaired connection. Having the correct OEM connector components on hand eliminates the need for generic substitutes that may not match the original pin engagement force or material specification.

Female connectors in fryer wiring harnesses are subject to contact spring fatigue from repeated mating cycles, oxidation from the fryer's warm and greasy operating environment, and mechanical deformation from over‑insertion or angled mating with a misaligned male counterpart. A female contact that has lost its spring tension will allow the mating pin to seat with minimal force but will not maintain reliable electrical contact under vibration, producing intermittent faults that can be difficult to locate consistently because they may only appear when the connection is under mechanical stress or thermal expansion. Rebuilding the connector with fresh contacts from the 83699 kit restores full contact tension.

Service technicians should use the appropriate pin removal tool to extract damaged contacts from the connector housing without deforming the housing, and should use the correct crimp die for the conductor size being terminated to achieve a gas‑tight, pull‑resistant crimp. After rebuilding the connector, each conductor should be pull‑tested to confirm the crimp is solid, and the rebuilt connector should be mated and de‑mated several times to confirm that the contact retention and engagement forces are correct before the harness is installed in the fryer.
