Details

The Perfect Fry 83804 Fire Extinguisher Recharge Kit is a genuine OEM service kit used to rebuild and recharge the new‑style fire extinguisher bottle (part number 83800) after it has been discharged following a fire suppression event. This recharge procedure must be performed by an authorized Amerex distributor who has the proper tools, replacement chemical agent, and certification to service NFPA 17A wet chemical systems. Completing the recharge using the OEM kit restores the fire suppression system to its factory‑specified charge level and ensures the agent and hardware meet the performance standards required for NFPA 17A compliance.

After a fire suppression discharge, the fryer cannot be returned to service until the fire suppression system is fully recharged and re‑inspected, as operating a ventless fryer without a functional fire suppression system violates NFPA 17A requirements and creates significant liability exposure. The 83804 recharge kit provides the chemical agent, valve hardware, and other consumable components needed for the recharge service, with the actual recharge work performed by the Amerex‑authorized service provider who will also perform the required post‑service inspection and documentation. Having the correct OEM recharge kit available in advance allows the service event to be completed without delay.

After the recharge is complete, the fire suppression system should be tested to verify correct pressure, intact fusible links, and proper actuation circuit connectivity before the inspection tag is updated and the fryer is returned to service. The fusible links should be replaced as part of any post‑discharge service since discharge events expose the links to heat that may have partially weakened them even if they did not melt. Documenting the service date and scheduling the next NFPA 17A inspection interval at the time of recharge ensures the system remains in continuous compliance.
