The Perfect Fry 83807 Fire Extinguisher Replacement Kit (After Discharge) is a genuine OEM complete replacement kit used when the new‑style fire extinguisher bottle (83800) has discharged and cannot be rebuilt and recharged by a local authorized Amerex distributor. This kit provides a new, factory‑charged and assembled replacement bottle and associated hardware that restores the fire suppression system to fully operational status without requiring the existing bottle to be rebuilt. Using this OEM replacement kit ensures the replacement bottle meets all specifications required for NFPA 17A compliance in PFA and PFC series fryer installations.
When a fire suppression discharge event occurs, the fryer must be taken out of service immediately until the system is restored and inspected, as a ventless fryer without a functional fire suppression system is not permitted to operate under NFPA 17A. In locations where a local Amerex service center capable of recharging the 83800 bottle is not readily available, the 83807 complete replacement kit provides the most expedient path to restoring the fryer to compliant operation without waiting for recharge service to be arranged. The replacement kit includes all components needed to install the new charged bottle in the fryer's fire suppression cavity.
The replacement procedure must be performed by a qualified service technician who can follow the correct fire suppression system disassembly and reassembly procedure, verify that all detection and actuation components are in good condition, and complete the required post‑service inspection documentation.
