The Perfect Fry 84060 Pivoting Element Assembly is a genuine OEM 7.3kW, 208V replacement heating element with an integrated pivoting mechanism for Perfect Fry PFA 2.0 series ventless fryers equipped with the element lift system. Operating at 7,300 watts and approximately 35.1 amps on a 208V single‑phase circuit, this high‑output element provides the aggressive heat recovery required to keep oil temperature stable through rapid back‑to‑back product loads. The pivoting design allows the element to be mechanically raised clear of the oil vat by the lift system, providing safe cleaning access without requiring the element to be electrically disconnected.
The pivot mechanism adds a mechanical wear component to the standard element failure modes of carbonization and terminal degradation. The pivot joints and lift cable attachment points can develop play or binding over time from repeated raising and lowering cycles, which can cause the element to sit at an angle in the vat that affects heat distribution or prevents the element position switch from confirming the correct seated position. Regular cleaning of the pivot points and lubrication per the manufacturer's recommendations is important to preserve smooth element travel and prevent pivot wear from becoming a secondary cause of fryer downtime.
