The Perfect Fry 84149 Airflow Module Assembly is a genuine OEM replacement for the complete air management housing in the filter cavity of Perfect Fry PFA and PFC series ventless countertop fryers. This module defines the airflow path from the cooking cavity through the HEPA and carbon filter stages and back into the kitchen, and its structural integrity directly determines whether all air is processed through the filter media or can bypass it. A correctly installed and undamaged airflow module is a prerequisite for the fryer to meet its ventless UL 710B certification requirements.
Airflow module damage most commonly occurs from aggressive cleaning practices, impact during filter replacement, or thermal stress over years of service. Even small cracks or gaps in the module structure can create short‑circuit paths that allow unfiltered air to bypass the filter media and exit the fryer, which manifests as persistent kitchen odor complaints even when freshly installed filters are in place.
