PRODUCT OVERVIEW
Perforated Strainer 9" for Cleveland Part# DS-2

Details
The Perforated Strainer 9" (Part# DS-2) is a Cleveland-compatible replacement strainer for use in Cleveland commercial steamer equipment. Strainers are installed in water supply lines and steam passages to capture mineral scale particles, debris, and sediment that could otherwise clog solenoid valve seats, nozzles, and other precision components in the steamer system, protecting internal components and extending service intervals.
Strainers require periodic inspection and cleaning as part of routine steamer maintenance, as accumulated debris restricts water flow and can eventually lead to solenoid valve failures, insufficient water fill rates, and reduced steam generation. A completely blocked strainer will prevent the steamer from filling correctly, resulting in dry heating element conditions that can cause rapid element failure.
Strainer cleaning or replacement is a straightforward maintenance task. With the water supply shut off and the unit de-energized, remove the strainer from its housing, clean the screen element thoroughly under running water, and inspect for damage or excessive corrosion. If the screen is torn, permanently clogged, or significantly corroded, replace with the new Perforated Strainer 9". Reinstall the strainer in the correct orientation and verify proper fill rate during the next operating cycle.
