PRODUCT OVERVIEW
Perforated Strainer 9" for Southbend Part# 3923-2

Details
The Perforated Strainer 9" (Part# 3923-2) is a Southbend-compatible replacement filter or strainer for use in Southbend commercial ranges, griddles, broilers, and gas cooking equipment. Filters and strainers remove debris and particulate from oil, water, or gas lines to protect downstream components and maintain product quality.
The filter or strainer element traps particulate as fluid or gas passes through it, preventing debris from reaching pumps, valves, burner orifices, or the finished food product, and must be sized and rated correctly for the flow and pressure of the system it protects. Periodic replacement is a normal part of maintaining consistent performance in the system it serves.
A clogged or failed filter typically presents as reduced flow or pressure through the affected line, debris passing through into the product or downstream components, or in the case of oil filtration, off-flavors or accelerated oil degradation. A torn or damaged filter element can also allow unfiltered debris to bypass filtration entirely.
Replacement is a simple maintenance task. Shut off supply to the affected line and relieve pressure before opening the filter housing or strainer basket. Remove the spent filter element, clean the housing of accumulated debris, and install the replacement element or basket, reassembling the housing securely. Restore supply and check for leaks at the housing before returning the system to service.
This compatible aftermarket replacement filter or strainer is manufactured to the dimensional and functional specifications of Southbend equipment, ensuring proper fit, reliable operation, and long-term performance in a commercial kitchen environment.
