    The 1052944 Filter Drier/TXV Kit – R22/R407C, 1/4" ODF Inlet, 1/2" ODF Outlet is a genuine OEM Perlick part, engineered and manufactured by Perlick for direct fit in Perlick back bar refrigeration, draft beer dispensing, and underbar equipment. As the thermal expansion valve, it is built to Perlick's original specifications for fit, performance, and long-term reliability. The thermal expansion valve (TXV) meters liquid refrigerant into the evaporator coil at the precise rate needed to match the system's cooling load, maintaining correct superheat so the compressor receives only vapor and not liquid refrigerant on its suction side.

    A TXV that has failed open floods the evaporator and can send liquid refrigerant back to the compressor, risking serious compressor damage, while a valve that has failed closed or become restricted starves the coil and causes poor cooling. Replacing the TXV restores correct refrigerant metering and protects the compressor from liquid slugging.
