PRODUCT OVERVIEW
Pilot Assy for Cleveland Part# 0782391

Details
The Pilot Assy (Part# 0782391) is a Cleveland-compatible replacement pilot assembly for use in Cleveland commercial gas-fired cooking and steamer equipment. The pilot assembly combines the pilot burner, spark electrode, and thermopile or thermocouple sensing element into a single replaceable unit that provides continuous pilot flame operation for main burner ignition.
Pilot assemblies are subject to degradation from continuous exposure to the pilot flame, combustion byproducts, and the moisture-laden kitchen environment. Common failure modes include a pilot that is difficult to light, a flame too weak to reliably ignite the main burner, or a pilot that lights but fails to be recognized by the sensing element — causing the gas valve to close. Grease or mineral deposits on the sensing element tip can reduce millivolt output to below the threshold required to hold the gas valve open.
Pilot assembly replacement requires the gas supply to be shut off and the equipment to be de-energized and cooled before work begins. A qualified gas appliance technician should remove the old assembly from its mounting position, disconnect the gas supply tube, electrode lead, and thermocouple or thermopile connection. Install the new Pilot Assy, reconnect all connections, and restore gas and power. Light the pilot per the Cleveland operating procedure and verify that the pilot holds before testing main burner ignition.
