The Pitco Pilot Burner - Nat is a direct replacement natural gas pilot burner assembly for Pitco commercial gas fryers, providing the continuous or intermittent standing pilot flame that ignites the main burner and maintains the thermopile or thermocouple at operating temperature. The assembly includes the pilot hood, orifice, and mounting hardware sized for natural gas service at standard supply pressures. Using the correct natural gas pilot burner ensures the proper orifice size, flame pattern, and thermopile/thermocouple target position for reliable ignition and consistent flame sensing on the designated Pitco fryer models.
Over time, pilot burner orifices can become clogged with grease deposits or mineral scale, the pilot hood can warp or corrode from continuous high-temperature exposure, and the flame pattern can degrade so that the pilot no longer reliably heats the thermopile or thermocouple sensing element. A degraded pilot burner results in intermittent main burner outages, failed re-ignition after the fryer cools, and unnecessary service calls. Replacing the worn pilot burner with the Pitco-compatible natural gas assembly restores the correct flame size, direction, and intensity for dependable thermopile heating.
