The Blodgett 56464 Kit, Pilot Pro Gas is a OEM factory-original pilot or burner assembly component for use in Blodgett commercial convection ovens, deck ovens, and combination cooking equipment. Pilot and burner assemblies in Blodgett gas equipment provide the combustion heat that drives oven operation, and their precise design and calibration are critical to achieving proper heat output, fuel efficiency, and safe operation within the oven's combustion system.
The pilot assembly maintains a continuously burning or electronic spark-ignited flame that serves as the ignition source for the main burner. The main burner is a precision-designed component that mixes gas and combustion air in the correct ratio to produce a stable, efficient flame pattern that heats the oven cavity to the required temperature.
Problems with pilot or burner components include the pilot failing to hold a flame, the main burner failing to light from the pilot, erratic or pulsing burner flames indicating improper air-gas mixture, or incomplete combustion producing sooting or unusual odors. These symptoms can result from worn components, debris clogging orifices, or misaligned burner components.
Pilot and burner service should be performed by a qualified gas appliance technician. Shut off the gas supply and allow all components to cool completely before disassembly. Clean orifices and burner ports as needed, replace worn components, ensure proper alignment and clearances, and test for proper flame appearance and thermocouple or flame sensor response after reassembly.
