The Pitco Actuator, 24VDC, STL, 1.25" Assembly is a genuine OEM replacement linear actuator assembly for Pitco automated filtration systems, providing a 1.25-inch stroke at 24 VDC to drive a powered ball valve in the fryer drain circuit. Delivered as a complete assembly with motor, gearbox, and mounting hardware, it fits directly onto the 1.25-inch ball valve body used in certain Pitco filtration configurations. Using the correct OEM assembly ensures the stroke length and drive force precisely match the valve's travel requirements.

Over time, the original actuator can fail from gear wear, brush motor depletion, or housing seal degradation that allows oil vapor and cleaning chemical aerosols to corrode the internal drive mechanism. A failed actuator leaves the drain valve stuck open or closed, making automated filtration impossible or creating an uncontrolled drain condition. Installing the replacement assembly restores the correct 1.25-inch travel needed to fully open and fully close the drain valve.

The assembly clips or bolts onto the ball valve body using the integrated mounting bracket and drive pin. It is recommended to replace the actuator whenever the valve does not complete its full travel stroke within the filter cycle timing window. Pairing the new actuator installation with a full-cycle filtration test will confirm the drain valve is actuating correctly through the automated filtration sequence.
