The Pitco PTFE Hose, Female Swivel x MPT, 14" is a genuine OEM replacement polytetrafluoroethylene-lined flexible hose, 14 inches in length, with a female swivel fitting on one end and a male pipe thread fitting on the other, for Pitco commercial fryer oil filtration and drain systems. The PTFE lining provides exceptional chemical and thermal resistance for continuous contact with hot cooking oil, while the swivel fitting allows easy connection and disconnection without twisting the hose body. Using the correct OEM hose ensures the 14-inch length and fitting configuration match the connection geometry in the Pitco filter system.
Over time, the original PTFE hose can develop fitting corrosion, internal liner delamination from thermal cycling fatigue, or external braid damage from repeated contact with sharp edges during filter pan removal and insertion. A damaged hose may leak hot oil at the fittings or rupture under pump pressure, creating a severe burn hazard for kitchen staff. Installing the replacement hose provides a fresh, intact PTFE liner and correctly functioning swivel and MPT fittings.
The hose connects the female swivel end to the filter system port and the MPT end to the mating fitting using hand tools. It is recommended to inspect the PTFE hose for fitting corrosion and external braid condition during every filter media change and replace it at the first sign of fitting weeping or liner cracking.
